Summer is a beautiful time of the year, but it can be very hot, humid and exhausting. We need to discover ways to cool down and take advantage of this wonderful season to feel and look fabulous.First of all, summer season is a good time to relieve high-calorie and high fat meals. It can help us to loose a couple pounds, detox and relax to look and feel good. Hot weather increases sweating and reduces urination which could lead to water retention, and quite often to a puffy face or heavy legs. Try to nibble on more cherries at this time, while they are in season. Only understand that cherries are from the Dirty Dozen List, therefore it is better (healthier) to buy them organic. All fruits (apples, berries, pears, apricots plums, melons, grapes, peaches, mangos, papaya as well as all citrus fruits may also be cooling and laxative which will help our cleansing/natural detox process. We also need to eat more refreshing and cooling salads with slightly bitter-tasting, cleansing greens, including dandelion greens, watercress and endive.
