House Flipping and Partying with New People

A couple of nights ago I was invited to attend a gathering however I barely knew anyone who was attending, so in other words, I did not feel like attending the party one bit.

The fact of the matter is that I have been asked to go to parties just like this one, in the past, where I pretty much don't know a soul, but at my wife’s insistence, of course I did eventually go.

How come I did not want to go?

Through my own thinking I had created a sense of fear about attending the party…without any sort of basis within reality.

I had pictured myself alone and awkward at the party, standing there in the corner of the room, desperately trying to find something to talk about with the people who were there - even though I tried really hard, I consistently struggled to connect with people. There was no common ground, the conversations awkward, add in some obnoxious music and I always had a bad time.

That is how I always pictured my party experience to turn out.

Haven't we all, at least once in a while, had an experience like that?

These are the parties you go to where you think to yourself you’d actually rather be at the dentist than suffering through this utter social torture….

But what if I had tried to simply picture and expect a different and better outcome?

Instead of sitting there, alone and miserable…imagine if I had expected to be surrounded by wonderful people that were truly interested in what I had to say and contribute, fully engaging in conversation, while my favorite music played in the background, feeling wonderful, relaxed and 100% at ease?

Now say I had pictured in my mind the above scenario, do you think I may have had an easier time attending the party, and possibly even wanted to attend the gathering?

The Mindset that You Need to Develop to Successfully Flip Homes

Imagine being able to change this perception not just with regards to parties…but when you are about to make your first house flipping deal?

Imagine that you have worked very hard for over a year trying to launch your house flipping career and finally, after years, you have found the perfect home for purchase. All of the signs point to yes. You've finally found a fair price, you have financing, you are sure of your expenses and you know for sure how much you can get for the final home.

But you imagine everything going wrong, the house sitting on the market for months, while you sit there watching everything unfold around you, constantly losing money…

How successful can you possible be with this extremely pessimistic attitude?

You really don't stand a chance at all.

Instead, try picturing the house selling for more more than your worst case scenario, selling in under a month, giving you and your backers a full return on their investment.

This is the mindset you must adopt. We like to call it the House Flipping Mindset.

What this is not is just a wild assumption that things will go well simply because you think it will...far from it. You need to have a specific strategy of steps that minimizes that odds of the bad deal - in oder to place yourself in a position to recieve the value and pleasure in reaping profits instead of focusing on the pain .

First and foremost to gain the house flipping mindset, once you have done all that you need to then create a picture of success mentally and focus on all that you have to gain from the deal.

This is the house flipping mindset, the positive mental attitude, and this is how you will be most successful.
